TRUMP’S TALL TALES

He might just be the worst person in the world

The rubble that Trump lied about having helped to clear

By now, with his considerable role in the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Americans and the destruction of life as we’ve known it confirmed by Bob Woodward, it seems beyond dispute that Donald Trump is the worst politician (if not the worst person) of our lifetime. You would be more likely to win the lottery than to hear of him doing a nanosecond’s worth of anything remotely redeeming. Still, there are some things — thousands, really — that one can never be reminded of enough.

Obviously, the Access Hollywood tape is one of them, as is his making fun of the handicapped reporter. And as is his reaction to the most horrific day in American history. In addition to claiming that he “lost hundreds of friends on 9/11” (having none, he actually lost none) and that when the rubble was being cleared he “was there and helped a little” (of course he never set foot anywhere near Ground Zero), there was this. This is what 9/11 meant to Donald Trump, owner of 40 Wall Street, mere hours after the attacks: “40 Wall Street actually was the second-tallest building in downtown Manhattan, and it was actually before the World Trade Center the tallest, and then when they built the World Trade Center it became known as the second-tallest, and now it’s the tallest.”

Now it’s the tallest! Sure, 3,000 people were dead, but the important thing was that Donald Trump once again had the tallest building in lower Manhattan. Except, of course, that he actually didn’t, because even before the World Trade Center was built 40 Wall Street wasn’t the tallest — 70 Pine Street was 25 feet taller — and now it still wasn’t, so 3,000 people died for nothing.

People! Only you can save us! VOTE!
